During the release of Epoch 1, we experienced much higher traffic than anticipated, with several thousand people attempting to participate simultaneously. As a result, we encountered long RPC latencies and drained database connections.

Next Step:

We have upgraded our RPC subscription and database capacities

Implemented more aggressive caching strategies

Added human verification measures to combat the bot traffic we observed

Internal load tests were performed

Results:

We are now able to handle a sustained rate of 5k requests per second with reasonable 95% and 99% latency.
